Welcome to The Performer

Saskatchewan’s premier dance competition, celebrating 17 incredible years of showcasing talent and artistry. We provide a fun and supportive environment where dancers can step into the spotlight and shine!

OUR VENUE

Location: TCU Place, downtown Saskatoon
Theater: Buckwell Theater, featuring 2,074 soft red seats
Convenience: Two hotels directly across the street and Saskatoon Midtown Plaza next door

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE

Every aspect of our competition is designed with the highest quality in mind:

Professional Support: Our sound, lighting, and stage technicians ensure each performance is spectacular.
Easy Music Management: Music is submitted in advance, allowing teachers to relax backstage.
Backstage Facilities: Multiple change rooms equipped with mirrors and lighting for hair and makeup, plus a spacious rehearsal hall for dancers to refine their routines.
Green Room: A dedicated space for dancers to stretch, prepare, and gather for adjudication.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY AMENITIES

Relaxation Space: Large round tables in the lobby for families to enjoy meals and downtime.
Photography: Visit our Photographer’s table to view and purchase stunning images of performances.

OUR ADJUDICATORS

Our qualified and enthusiastic adjudicators provide invaluable feedback:

Video Adjudication: Each entry receives a recorded critique.
Personalized Guidance: Adjudicators step onto the stage to offer personalized technique advice and special recognition for outstanding performances and choreography.

PLACEMENTS, AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS

During onstage adjudications a 1st, 2nd and 3rd placement will be awarded in each category.
Most Outstanding Award presentation each day to recognize the highest mark in each age division and genre.
Final awards Sunday at the end of the competition.

We celebrate achievements with various awards, including pins, trophies, and cash scholarships. To date, we have awarded nearly $250,000 in scholarships, supporting dancers as they pursue their dreams and continue their training.
